My trade is plumbing. I opened my own shop in 1995 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Shapla: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
