I'm a ceramics artist based in Dhaka. I've been making things from 1995 to 2024 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by the river near my house. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Shakil: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 1998. It's still the first thing I see in the morning! Greetings from Thessaloniki.
