I've coached basketball at Lotus Sports Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Shahid: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
