Shahana Popy Karim

Painter, potter and teacher at The Gazipur Pottery

  • 🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh
  • The Gazipur Pottery
  • Since 1988
  • English, Bengali
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1988 at The Gazipur Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I like to keep things simple and honest. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

More about Shahana

I've had 14 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
