Shafiq Jahid Akter
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Chennai
- 🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- 1989 to 2025
- English
I've played traditional drumming from 1989 to 2025, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I take the work seriously, though not myself.
More about Shafiq
I wrote my first song when I was 13. It was terrible and I still love it.
