I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 1985 at Little Jessore Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by faces I pass in the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Shafiq
I've had 14 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Shafiq: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
