I've spent 29 years as a lecturer in sociology at Maple Ridge State University in Istanbul. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a night-shift cleaner and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Sevgi
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
