Sérgio Vinícius Figueiredo
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇷 Londrina, Paraná, Brazil
- Northside Trades Guild
- Since 1990
- Portuguese, French
I've worked in pottery since 1990. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 790 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sérgio
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Sérgio: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
