I've been a nurse for 48 years, most of them in palliative care at Monterrey Children's Hospital in Monterrey. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
