I've been a nurse for 48 years, most of them in orthopedics at Kyiv Community Hospital in Kyiv. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
