Serena Ruggiero
Accounting and physical education teacher, Messina
- 🇮🇹 Messina, Sicily, Italy
- Pioneer Middle School
- Since 1989
- English, Italian
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 37 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Serena
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Serena: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
