Seo-yeon Yu-na Shim
Social studies and English literature teacher, Seongnam
- 🇰🇷 Seongnam, Gyeonggi, South Korea
- Kilimanjaro Primary School
- 2017 to 2025
- Korean
For eight years I was the social studies teacher at Kilimanjaro Primary School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Seo-yeon
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Seo-yeon: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
