Selamawit Selam Worku

Spanish and special education teacher, Addis Ababa

  • 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Lakeview Grammar School
  • 2016 to 2025
  • English, Amharic, French
I taught Spanish at Lakeview Grammar School in Addis Ababa from 2016 to 2025. Most days I taught Year 10, and my door was open at lunch. Over the years I had 340 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Selamawit: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
