I'm a musician from Addis Ababa. I've toured a little, taught a lot and played at more weddings than I can count.
I teach about 19 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Selam
I write my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Selam: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
