Selam Tesfaye
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- The Gondar Workshop
- 2013 to 2023
- English
My trade is tiling. I opened my own shop in 2013 in Gondar and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

What gifts mean to Selam: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
