I've volunteered with Lagos Community Kitchen from 1985 to 2015. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I'm not an expert in anything, I just show up. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
