Segun Chidi Okonkwo
Retired Spanish teacher from Port Harcourt Grammar School
- 🇳🇬 Port Harcourt, Rivers, Nigeria
- Port Harcourt Grammar School
- 2001 to 2012
- English, Igbo
For eleven years I was the Spanish teacher at Port Harcourt Grammar School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, my door was open at lunch.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Segun
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Segun: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
