I've worked in shoemaking from 1979 to 1999. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 660 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
