I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in elder care at Recife Children's Hospital in Recife. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
