For 26 years I was the home economics teacher at Syracuse Secondary School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
