I taught French at Oakwood Public School in San Francisco from 1991 to 2009. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Sebastián
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Sebastián: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
