Sawsan Salma Wahba
Youth badminton coach and mentor
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
- Shubra Swimming Club
- 1980 to 2012
- English, Arabic
I coached badminton at Shubra Swimming Club from 1980 to 2012. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Sawsan
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Sawsan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2016. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Üsküdar.
