I coached boxing at Tokyo Boxing Gym from 1996 to 2015. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
What gifts mean to Satomi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

you coached me in 2007. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Aurangabad.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
