I taught environmental science at Lotus Technical College in Dhaka from 2003 to 2020. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
