Sara Selam Melaku
Dance coach, Mekelle Atlas Community Club
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- 1998 to 2022
- English
I coached dance at Mekelle Atlas Community Club from 1998 to 2022. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Sara
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Sara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1999. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Houston.
