I coached badminton at Södertälje Athletic Club from 2011 to 2022. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Sara
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Sara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
