I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 14 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Sara: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me art in 2012 at Haarlem Public School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
