I coached chess at Sunrise Swimming Club from 2007 to 2022. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
What gifts mean to Sara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
