I've coached basketball at London Sports Club since 1994. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Santiago
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
