I've worked in plumbing since 1978. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 2,160 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Santiago
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Santiago: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
