Samuel R. Ashworth
Youth boxing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 San Francisco, California, United States
- Since 1982
- English
For 44 years I've run the boxing program at Baobab Boxing Gym in San Francisco. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Samuel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Samuel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1998. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Nashik.
