Samuel M. Mercado

Oud player and teacher in Caloocan

  • 🇵🇭 Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines
  • Caloocan Orchestra
  • Since 1994
  • English
I play oud and folk music. I started in 1994 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness. I teach about 17 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
