Samir Zakaria Sarkis
Tabla player and teacher in Cairo
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Cairo Band
- 2006 to 2017
- English, Arabic
I play tabla and traditional drumming. I started in 2006 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 8 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
More about Samir
I wrote my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
