Samir Kamal Khalil
Chess coach, Shubra Athletic Club
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt

For 16 years I've run the chess program at Shubra Athletic Club in Shubra. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Samir
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Samir: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
