Sami Salim Darwish

Teacher at Maple Ridge High School, loves environmental science

I taught environmental science at Maple Ridge High School in Utrecht from 1996 to 2005. Most days I taught first-year students, and my door was open at lunch. Over the years I had 360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Sami

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Sami: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
