I've been a nurse for 34 years, most of them in pediatrics at Rome Community Hospital in Rome. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
