I taught English literature at Lincoln Primary School in Ciudad de México from 1981 to 1994. Most days I taught Year 7, and I played music while people worked.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Salvador
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
