I teach materials science at Holy Cross State University since 1987, and supervised 14 dissertations along the way.
I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. It sounds small, but students remember small things.
What gifts mean to Salma: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
