Salma Ishrat Jahan
Taught Spanish at Silverlake Technical College
- 🇧🇩 Bogra, Rajshahi, Bangladesh
- Silverlake Technical College
- 1985 to 1997
- English, Bengali
Silverlake Technical College was my second home. I taught Spanish there from 1985 to 1997, mostly mixed-ability classes.
Over the years I had 580 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Salma
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Salma: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
