Salim Okello Ngowi
Piano player and teacher in Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Kasarani Quartet
- Since 2003
- English, Swahili
I play piano and bass. I started in 2003 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 16 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Salim
If you ever danced at one of my shows, I hope it was a good night.
What gifts mean to Salim: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
