Salim Odhiambo Kariuki
Chemistry and religious studies teacher, Zanzibar City
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Zanzibar City Secondary School
- 1992 to 2006
- English, Swahili
For 14 years I was the chemistry teacher at Zanzibar City Secondary School. I taught Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I never turned anyone away.
More about Salim
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Salim: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
