I taught religious studies at Arusha Academy in Arusha from 1980 to 2014. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I learned every name in the first week.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I learned every name in the first week.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Salim
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
