Salim Kato Waweru
History teacher at Gateway Primary School, 2004 to 2022

I taught history at Gateway Primary School in Kampala from 2004 to 2022. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 740 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

What gifts mean to Salim: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
