For eleven years I was the environmental science teacher at Mangaluru Technical College. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Sakshi
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
