I've coached wrestling at Edinburgh Sakura Youth Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
