I taught religious studies at Pioneer Secondary School in San Diego from 1986 to 1997. Most days I taught Year 7, and I played music while people worked.
Over the years I had 250 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ryan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ryan: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
