Ruwini Kumari Rathnayake
Biology and French teacher, Dehiwala
- 🇱🇰 Dehiwala, Western, Sri Lanka
- Dehiwala Middle School
- Since 2006
- English
Dehiwala Middle School is my second home. I teach biology there since 2006, mostly first-year students.
Over the years I've had 880 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ruwini
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

I was in your first-year students class in 2019. You believed I could do it before I did Greetings from Los Angeles.
