Ruth Senait Abate

14 years teaching home economics in Mekelle

  • 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
  • Trinity High School
  • 1987 to 2009
  • English, Amharic
For 22 years I was the home economics teacher at Trinity High School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Over the years I had 840 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

You taught me home economics in 1991 at Trinity High School. I still remember the long bus ride home!

I'm a pharmacist now and I honestly think it started in your classroom. Greetings from Burnaby.
