For 34 years I've run the rugby program at Oakland Football Club in Oakland. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Ruth
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ruth: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
