I've volunteered with Newcastle upon Tyne Community Kitchen from 1987 to 2018. I started on a Saturday morning "just to help out" and never left.
I like to keep things simple and honest. Small habits keep a team together.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ruth
We run on goodwill and a very old kettle.
What gifts mean to Ruth: I'd put a gift toward transport for our volunteers.
